We offer residential treatment short-term residential treatment a private school community-based services prevention programs respite services and therapeutic foster care.
As a Maintenance Specialist you will perform preventative maintenance of Devereux-Arizona buildings vehicles and grounds as required/assigned by the supervisor. This position performs complete facility inspections at the specified frequency documents inspection results according to the policies and procedures of the facility and reports documented results. The Maintenance Specialist addresses deficiencies as prioritized by life safety codes and as directed by program managers.
Pay Range: $24.00/hr. - $26.40/hr.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older (per licensing standards)
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum one (1) year related experience with basic understanding of electrical plumbing carpentry painting and drywall is required
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Regularly requires walking standing and stooping/bending (1/2 - 3/4 of the work day); seldom requires sitting (0-11/4 of the work day)
- Regularly pushing/pulling and repetitive wrist/hand motion (1/4 - 1/2 of the work day)
- Ability to quickly and repeatedly move arms and legs; bend stretch twist or reach out with body arms and/or legs
- Ability to stand and hold arms over head for long periods of time; able to do a considerable amount of climbing bending and crouching
- Ability to exert self physically over an extended period of time
- Ability to exert muscle force repeatedly or continuously over time; the ability to use abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time.
- Often requires lifting up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to exert maximum force to lift push carry or pull objects of up to 50 pounds
- Range of hearing and vision sufficient to operate standard office machines and communicate with co-workers and stakeholders in person and via telephone
- Often drives a Devereux vehicle or van and regularly works inside in areas that are adequately lighted and ventilated and works outside
OTHER:
- Must be available to attend two (2) weeks of new hire orientation (paid Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm) plus 2-3 weeks of on the job training

- Valid Arizona Drivers License & pass DMV 36-month history check
- Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions). Arizona Revised Statues Notice (ARS 36-411 Residential care institutions; nursing care institutions; home health agencies; fingerprinting requirements; exemptions; definitions). If a persons employment record contains a six-month or longer time frame during which the person was not employed by any employer a completed application with a new set of fingerprints shall be submitted to the department of public safety.
