Job Summary
Domestic Considerations: Commitment of a minimum of 44 - 80 RSDs per year. High level of weekend work. Must be able to support periods of consolidated training during trg year.
Position Role: Pl Sgt Basic Trg Platoon (Somme Coy) ATU (NI) and delivery of Army Reserve Basic Trg.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform the duties of a Pl Sgt delivering Army Reserve basic training in the delivery of training of up to 48 Recruits.
2. Deputise for the Platoon Comd when required and be prepared to cover any of the Section Commanders responsibilities.
3. Manage Pl administration in barracks and in the field.
4. Responsible for all matters regarding discipline and training of Pl staff and recruits.
5. Fully current with all aspects of basic training delivery as directed by the CoC.
6. Principal instructor in the delivery of all foot drill.
7. Act as a role model and mentor to Sect Comd ensuring they deliver training to a high standard.
8. Be responsible for the issue accounting and receipt of all Pl weapons ammunition stores equipment and rations.
9. Responsible for upholding Core Values and Standards in Pl staff and recruits.
