About the Advanced Technology Group
The Advanced Technology Group (ATG) is a part of Foundational Systems and Experiences Engineering (FSEE) within the Platform Business over 20 years ago as part ofPlayStationsfirst-party game development studios ATG has always focused on helping game developers get the most out of PlayStationhardware-a mission that continues to this a team weare responsibleforlarge partsof thegraphicssoftware stack used by all PlayStationgamesandcollaborate withleadingengineering teams worldwide from game developers to hardware vendors to deliver key platform technologies.
Whatyoullbe doing
- You will be working on Razor GPU a GPU performance analysis and debugging tool for current and future PlayStationplatforms.
- You will be developing GPU Capture and Replay technology which allows GPUcommands shaders and resources to be capturedanalysed and laterreinstatedso thatgraphicsframescan be re-executed on the GPU independently from the running game.
- You will be developingprofiling and debugging features upon this core technology to help game developers worldwide to realize their creative vision and push PlayStationhardware to its limits.
- You will be developinginternalfeaturesused byplatform softwareand hardwareteamsto help build and improve thePlayStationgraphics software stack as well as diagnose low-levelplatformissues.
- You will collaborate with game developers and platform engineers togain a deepunderstanding oftheirneeds with a view to creating efficientreliableand scalable tools which are a joy to useforentrynew-leveland deeply technical engineers alike.
This is a unique seniorengineering roleat theheartof PlayStationGPU technology where you will work within a highly experiencedtechnologytechnical-driven team. We are looking fordeveloperswho are passionateabout their craft the products theybuild and who would like to make alastingimpact on thePlayStationgraphics software stackits toolingandfuture.
Whatwe are looking for
- Strong problem-solving skills including the ability to design and implementhighly reliableperformantsystems in C.
- Strong debugging skills including the ability to understandand reason aboutcomplex systemsas well asunpick their interactions.
- Experience developingonconsolesparticularlyusingconsolegraphics and memory management APIs.
- An interest inGPU architectureandlow-level graphicsengineering.
- ExperienceusingGPU profiling and debugging tools.
- Aneagernessto learnand take responsibilityoffeatures end-to-end frombuildingcoresystemstoinfluencingend-userUXdesign.
