Job Summary
Working in a small team of process engineers reporting to SL Process RE and Engineering Manager
Regular reporting on process team progress to Project Management and Engineering Manager
Working closely with a multi-discipline design team including other engineering disciplines as well as non-engineering and non-design functions (Project Management Programme Delivery Technical Support Safety Assessors Plant-Side Engineering Plant Operations Commissioning etc.)
Information gathering optioneering and design development
Presentation of design at regular assurance reviews with process design intelligent customer as well as at technical committee management safety committee and others where required. Communicating design proposals to the customer and working with them to achieve an acceptable solution
Qualifications :
Working with teams of process engineers other engineering disciplines and non-engineering disciplines in delivering process designs on medium/large-scale projects
Good communication skills and ability to work with other team members / disciplines
Competent report writing skills : clearly and concisely reporting findings
Comfortable working under time and cost constraints
Safety assessment techniques (e.g. HAZOP)
Production and checking of : Basis of Design Process Description Feed and Effluent Descriptions Process Calculations Process Data Sheets Basis of Process Safety (BoPS)
Masters/Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering
Desirable
Working with and adherence to processes and procedures in particular checking and approval procedures
Nuclear safety case development and provision of nuclear substantiation in project space
Chartered Engineer with IChemE
