We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who values people for who they are and is excited to walk alongside adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they engage in the activities they love and pursue their goals.ââââ
Work Schedule:ââââFull Time - Monday to Friday 8 AM - 4 PM.
A Day in the Life:ââââ
Youllspend your daysassistingwith care to a group of people who enjoy:âââââ
- Playing games
- Watching TV
- Listening to music
- Going shopping
- Going to church
This group is looking for someone who is kind dependable a good communicator and most of allsomeone who enjoys spending time with them. Ifyouresomeone who takes joy in building real connections and being present in the momentyoullthrive here.ââââ
HowYoullSupport:ââââ
- Support with daily routines such as bathing dressing and personal care in a way that promotes dignity independence and choice.ââââ
- Support people in preparing meals of their choice encouraging healthy eating habits andmaintaininga clean and comfortable kitchen environmentwhile promoting independence and personal preferences.âââ
- Be patient and respectful in action and speakingâââ
- Advocate for each persons rights and help build their confidence and sense of selfââââ
- Keep clear respectful records to ensure continuity of care and supportââââ
MinimumRequirements:ââââ
- Must be at least 21 years oldââââ
- Valid drivers license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 pointsââââ
- Comfortable driving agency vehicles andassistingpeople who use wheelchairsââââ
- Able tolift upto 75 pounds stand forlong periods and provide physicalassistancewhen neededââââ
- Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete)ââââ
