Knoxville Dermatology Group in affiliation with Anne Arundel Dermatology is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our surgical dermatology teamin Knoxville Tennessee. This is a full-time Monday through Friday position open to both experienced providers and new graduates interested in surgical dermatology.
The Surgical Physician Assistant works closely with and assists the Mohs Surgeon in a high-volume surgical dermatology setting. This role involves supporting a wide range of diagnostic and procedural activities often with a high level of autonomy.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Mohs Surgeon with surgical procedures including preparation local anesthesia and intraoperative support
- Perform or assist with wound closures including suturing and basic reconstructive techniques
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care including education and follow-up
- Carry out or assist with dermatologic diagnostic and treatment procedures
- Support efficient surgical workflow and patient throughput in a fast-paced environment
- Supervise and collaborate with clinical support staff to ensure high-quality patient care
- Serve as a patient advocate educator and liaison throughout the surgical process

Qualifications
- Clinical provider with a strong interest in surgical dermatology and Mohs procedures
- Comfortable with basic surgical techniques and patient care; prior experience preferred
- Interest in developing advanced surgical and procedural skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume fast-paced setting
- Self-motivated adaptable and able to work independently when appropriate
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both patients and team members
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and accountability
Licensure/Certifications/Education
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Current Board Certification as NP or PA
Active and unrestricted Tennessee medical license (or ability to obtain)
Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration
