As a Client Accounting Services Manager you will oversee the delivery of high-quality outsourced accounting services for multiple clients managing both client relationships and engagement teams. You will serve as a strategic advisor-interpreting financial results implementing process improvements and leveraging technology to help clients operate more effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of CAS clients overseeing all aspects of outsourced accounting and financial reporting engagements.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes ensuring accuracy timeliness and compliance with GAAP or other applicable frameworks.
- Review and analyze financial statements management reports and KPIs providing actionable insights to clients.
- Serve as the primary client contact maintaining strong relationships and delivering responsive proactive communication.
- Advise clients on accounting process improvements system implementations and internal control enhancements.
- Oversee mentor and review work prepared by seniors staff accountants and offshore team members.
- Coordinate with tax assurance and advisory teams to ensure cohesive client service and timely deliverables.
- Stay current on emerging accounting technologies helping clients adopt efficient cloud-based platforms and automation tools (e.g. QuickBooks Online Sage Intacct ).
- Support business development by identifying client needs preparing proposals and participating in firm growth initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in accounting finance or related field required.
- 10 years of progressive accounting experience including at least 2 years in a supervisory or client management role.
- Prior public accounting experience required outsourced client accounting or controllership experience highly valued.
- CPA license.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP financial reporting and accounting best practices.
- Proficiency in cloud-based accounting systems and integrated financial applications.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and advisory skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
- Proven leadership experience in managing teams and multiple client engagements simultaneously.
