Project Context

Seeking experienced professionals to support a large-scale global IT modernization initiative for a major manufacturing enterprise. The project involves consolidating multiple regional groupware platforms - including Google Workspace (GWS) and Microsoft 365 (M365) tenants - into a single unified M365 tenant hosted in the US. The migration spans multiple regions and approximately 40000 user accounts globally.

Key Responsibilities

As the Project Manager you will be responsible for:

Serving as the primary regional liaison between the U.S.-based customer team and the global project team led by Client
Attending regular project meetings in English ensuring clear communication across geographically distributed teams
Coordinating the implementation of globally defined Microsoft 365 (M365) designs governance policies and migration plans within the U.S. environment
Managing the local project schedule tracking milestones risks and issues specific to the U.S. region
Facilitating communication between the U.S. regional IT team and business stakeholders gathering local requirements and escalating issues to the global project manager as needed
Supporting the global PM by providing regular status updates progress reports and regional insights
Coordinating with U.S. stakeholders to prepare for and support data migration activities affecting approximatelyuser accounts migrating from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365

Workspace

Ensuring compliance with the top-down governance framework established by the

customers global IT team

Performing on-site stakeholder management and project coordination visits when

required (approximately monthly)

Required Qualifications

Proven experience managing IT projects ideally involving enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 implementations or migrations
Experience collaborating within international cross-cultural project teams
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
Familiarity with project management methodologies (PMI Agile or similar)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment while maintaining strong

alignment with a globally distributed team

Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 migrations including Exchange Teams
SharePoint or OneDrive
Experience migrating from Google Workspace (Gmail Google Drive Meet) to Microsoft 365
PMP PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification
Experience working with or for global system integrators (SIs) or IT consulting firms
Knowledge of M365 tenant governance identity management (Entra ID / Azure AD) and conditional access policies
