RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as Project Manager for the prototype development design production and full lifecycle sustainment of DoD engineering efforts including follow-on and spiral development initiatives.
- Develop and execute comprehensive Project Management Plans (PMPs) ensuring all funded tasks are planned tracked and completed in accordance with cost schedule and performance objectives.
- Own day-to-day execution across technical scope risk management and financial performance; provide accurate and timely weekly status reporting.
- Lead customer engagement with government stakeholders and project sponsors; deliver clear confident and well-informed responses across technical contractual financial and personnel domains.
- Exercise sound judgment in addressing complex issues and communicating difficult realities with professionalism and credibility.
- Report to the assigned Program Manager and coordinate across functional teams to ensure aligned execution and delivery.
MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related technical field from an institution regionally accredited by one of the following:
- Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE)
- Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU)
- Higher Learning Commission (HLC)
- New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE)
- Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission of Colleges (SACSCOC)
- Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) Senior College University Commission (WSCUC)
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of technical experience supporting equipment sensors and complex system environments.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of project management experience including technical leadership operations research and cost/financial analysis and tracking.
- At least five (5) years of experience supporting DoD C5ISR systems.
- Demonstrated ability to collect analyze and synthesize data to develop actionable recommendations for both corporate leadership and Government stakeholders.
- Proven experience analyzing operational and financial data (e.g. revenue workforce expenditures) to identify issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Strong understanding of organizational dynamics across Government and industry with the ability to align recommendations to mission structure and culture.
- Experience developing and solving mathematical models using analytical software tools.
SKILLS:
- Strong MS Office skills particularly MS Excel.
- Highly professional demeanor and presentation.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with technical and non-technical stakeholders helping to translate complex requirements and feedback into actionable development tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new technologies and software quickly.
- Project management analysis skills with the ability function within a team complete tasks and meet deadlines.
- Self-starter with excellent customer service ability tact and punctuality.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED (but not required) SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Current PMP certification
- Prior Military experience
CLEARANCE:
- Current Secret clearance preferred. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance and military base access is mandatory as a condition of continued employment.
LOCATION
- The work location is N. Charleston SC with 0-5% travel expected.
