- Oversee daily operations of the electronics production and development units in Chennai.
- Coordinate with R&D manufacturing and quality assurance teams to ensure timely delivery of electronic products.
- Monitor production KPIs identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Lead project execution for new product introductions (NPI) and product lifecycle management within the electronics portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO 9001 IATF 16949 RoHS REACH) and internal quality protocols.
- Manage inventory levels supplier performance and procurement timelines to support uninterrupted production.
- Mentor and develop a team of supervisors and engineers fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present operational reports performance metrics and strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborate with regional and global teams to align local operations with corporate objectives and market demands.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field; Masters degree is a plus.
- 25 years of progressive experience in electronics manufacturing production management or operations within the electronics industry.
- Proven track record in managing production lines process optimization and quality control in high-volume electronics environments.
- Strong knowledge of PCB assembly SMT through-hole technology testing protocols and electronic component sourcing.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) MES and data analysis tools for production monitoring.
- Excellent leadership communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced results-driven environment with occasional travel to supplier or client sites.
