The Role

Youllstep into ahigh impactsenior leadership role where your decisions will shape regeneration that lasts for generations. You will influence how Cornwall growsdevelopsand delivers opportunity across multiple major programmes working within a drivenambitiousand collaborative service. This is acareer definingchance to lead strategic placemaking at scaleandmake a lasting impact.

As Principal Lead you will be the Councils lead professional for regeneration and development the person who brings together our visionprogrammesand delivery into a coherenthigh performingportfolio. You will join at a time when Cornwalls regeneration agenda is accelerating politically supported and backed by major investment.

In this pivotal role you will:

  • Shape the strategic direction of Cornwalls full regeneration portfolio.
  • Set the standards expectations and frameworks that guide our largest programmes.
  • Provide expert professional leadership across housing town centre renewal infrastructure and placemaking.
  • Ensure programmes are well governed financially sound and aligned withlong termpriorities.
  • Lead and develop Senior Client Development Leads supporting ahigh performingteam.
  • Work closely with Members senior officers partners landownersdevelopersand funders.
  • Champion inclusive sustainable andfuture focusedregeneration.

This is a strategic leadership role with reach across every major regeneration programme in Cornwall offering a rare opportunity to shape transformation at scale.

Working Pattern

This is a flexible hybrid can be based anywhere with travel to Cornwall to support programme activity engagement and partnership working.

WhatYoullNeed to Succeed

You are a senior professional with deep experience in regeneration development major programmedeliveryor related fields.

A professional qualification (RICS RIBA CIOB or equivalent) isrequiredalongside strong senior-level experience.

You bring:

  • Leadership experience across large complex regeneration or development programmes.
  • The ability to provide strategic credible advice to senior leaders and Members.
  • Strong knowledge of planning land development commercialframeworksand programme management.
  • Experience overseeing multiple programmes and ensuring alignment across them.
  • Strong commercial and financial insight with the ability to scrutinise business cases.
  • Robust governanceriskand assurance capability.
  • Excellentpartnershipbuildingand influencing skills.
  • A track recordofdevelopinghighperformingteams.
  • A genuine passion for delivering programmes that create meaningful impact for Cornwalls communities.
