The project aims to identify and quantify key inflammatory and fibrotic protein markers in vivo across chronic lung inflammatory animal models and patient samples with the objective of establishing a robust highthroughput targeted proteomics method. Candidate markers will undergo further validation by western blotting and ELISA. The anticipated outcome is a fitforpurpose panel of inflammatory and fibrotic proteins tailored to specific animal models to enable efficient screening. This thesis will be conducted as a collaboration between two AstraZeneca departments providing complementary exposure to distinct scientific divisions and workflows.
