Job Summary

Short Term

SUMMARY:The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for all customer dealer and branch order
shipments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties and
responsibilities may be added deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management
formally or informally either verbally or in writing:
Picking packing and shipping of parts
Contacting shippers for shipment pick-ups
Inspecting all information on outgoing shipments to verify information matches invoices
pick lists or other records
Assembling customer orders from stock and placing on pallets or in cartons for shipment
Attaching shipping labels and all other identifying information on crates pallets or cartons
Posting weights and shipping & handling charges.
Assisting National Parts Administrator in analysis of inventory stock.
Notifying National Parts Administrator of any discrepancies in inventory
Maintaining organized parts shelves and bins
Establishing and maintaining reliable records in accordance with companys shipping
receiving and inventory systems.
Examining outgoing shipments to ensure they meet all specifications.
Maintaining a clean work environment.
Working in accordance with all safety procedures.
Operating a forklift to move convey or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving docks to
storage or work areas.
Assisting with the receivers responsibilities under the direction of the National Parts
Administrator
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully an individual must
be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are
representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High school diploma general education degree (GED);
one to two years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and
experience.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to process C.O.D. orders
CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS:Maintain valid drivers license and have
good driving record.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Ability to work flexible hours. Operate forklift manifest
shipping system strapping machine calculator and computer terminal.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that
must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee must frequently lift or move up to 75 pounds and occasionally lift or move more
than 100 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment characteristics described here are
representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this
job.
While performing the duties of this job the employee may work in high places. The employee
occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions.
