The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) provides skilled nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit. This role requires expertise in sterile vaginal exams triage and the ability to work independently without supervision. The L&D RN will collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to laboring patients and newborns.
- Perform sterile vaginal exams and triage independently.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient vital signs and fetal heart rate.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Meditech.
- Float between like units as needed.
- Provide skilled nursing care to laboring patients and newborns.

Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license.
- ACLS AWHONN Advanced BCLS and NRP certifications.
- Minimum of 1.5-2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
- Proven expertise in performing sterile vaginal exams independently.
- Experience with Meditech charting system.
- Active Registered Nurse license.

Special Considerations:
- Must be open to working weekends potentially exceeding every other weekend to meet unit needs.
- RTO (request time off) must be included at the time of submission.
- The facility can call off staff once per two-week pay period.
- Must be able to float between like units.
