Position Summary
Marathon Petroleum Company LPs Catlettsburg Kentucky Refinery has immediate openings for Instrument Technicians.
Starting pay rate for this role is $54.78/hr with contractual rate increases and competitive benefits package including retirement and medical. More information can be found at
Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine tests and measurements to maintain calibrate repair replace and install instrumentation equipment.
Calibrate meters and controls.
Maintain and repair instrumentation and instrument related equipment within the refinery
Performs maintenance per established written procedures. Uses drawings equipment manuals procedures and proper tools to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
Documents work performed throughout the workday.
May include work on control valves and level/pressure/temperature transmitters.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
A valid drivers license is required.
Five years of instrumentation work is preferred.
Five years of experience in refining chemical power industry or related military experience is preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills (Word Excel etc.)
Successful completion of a skills assessment.
