Job Description
Our client an established real estate related organization is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to join their growing team. This is a newly created position which will be an in-office position offering flexibility and a central/vibrant area to work and be part of a great team.
Our ideal candidate will be a CPA youve articled in the firm and or have industry experience with day to day accounting activities (AR AP Month-end). Additionally youve had tax exposure (T4A/T5 slips and T2 Tax returns). Those with financial modeling skills will be given preference.
Additional duties will include;
- Tax Compliance:Manages year-end T2 returns T4A/T5 slips & corporate tax schedules for Canadian and U.S. entities.
- Treasury Management:Monitors cash positions & manages timely corporate tax installments and owner distributions/calls/shareholder letters.
- Cross-Border Analysis:Calculates Earnings & Profit (E&P) & surplus for U.S. and Canadian subsidiaries.
- Budgeting:Collaborates with the Director of Accounting to develop finalize & distribute annual operating budgets.
- Investor Relations:Manages all investor communications including project updates financial statements and tax documentation.
- Period-End Oversight:Executes quarterly & bi-annual closes ensuring financial statements are ready for executive review.
- Variance Analysis:Analyzes actual vs. budgeted results to identify trends & provide recommendations for improvement. Financial modeling for budgets.
- Audit Coordination:Acts as the primary liaison for external accountants during year-end information requests.
- Strategic Support:Performs tax analysis for M&A activity & maintains financial models to forecast future performance.
