Accounting Technician (Accounting and Revenue Unit)
Job Summary
The economic management unit is part of the Finance Directorate and is responsible for managing the different procedures that have accounting reflection in the management ERP. The unit manages the entitys expenses and income ensuring that the entitys financial statements present a true and fair view of the Foundations financial position.
The person incorporated as an accounting technician will work directly reporting to the head of the area. Their tasks include supporting the team in technical tasks supporting the accounting close process and preparing financial statements monitoring internal accounts/projects and supporting research staff.
Main responsibilities and duties:
Coordinate and manage accounting closures under the supervision of the head of the area.
Provide support to the rest of the colleagues in the area in the potential accounting impact of their work.
Collaborate in the implementation of the new ERP that the Foundation is currently implementing.
Prepare and organise audit documentation and other requirements that may arise during the year under the supervision of the head of the area.
Analyse accounting closures and resolve identified issues.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration and Management Economics Accounting or a related field.
Additional or specialised training in in accounting auditing and taxation.
Fluency in Catalan Spanish and English (professional level).
Desirable:
Additional or specialised training in time and stress management implementation of new ERPs or good communication practices.
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
At least 5 years experience within the CERCA system in economic management units.
Knowledge of the regulations applicable in the CERCA field tax and audit regulations as well as the technical expertise in accounting to propose solutions to the team.
Ability to manage stress and periods of high workload.
Desirable:
Experience with Fundanet ERP.
Labour conditions:
Working hours: Full-time (375 hours per week)
Starting date: As soon as possible
Gross annual salary: Remuneration will be determined by experience skills and responsibilities and aligned with the Collective Agreement pay scale.
Contract type: Permanent contract
