Field Services Specialist

Its Function: Make mining smarter safer and more sustainable!

As a Field Service Engineer for SAG and/or Ball Mills you will be responsible for providing expert technical services and solutions in the field ensuring operational reliability equipment performance and customer satisfaction. He will be a trusted technical advisor to our customers providing support throughout the lifecycle of SAG and ball mills from installation and commissioning to inspection troubleshooting and refurbishment.

Daily Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections diagnostics and maintenance for SAG and ball mills at our customers mines.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and provide recommendations to optimize mill performance and reduce downtime.
• Deliver technical reports documentation and follow-up support to customers.
• Collaborate with FLSmidths engineering product support and supply chain teams to ensure service excellence.
• Provide emergency support and technical solutions during unforeseen shutdowns.
• Conduct training for the clients staff on operational best practices.
• Ensure compliance with FLSmidth safety regulations and customer HSE protocols.

Requirements and experience

• Bachelors degree in mechanical electrical electromechanical industrial engineering or a related career.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with SAG and/or ball mills in the mining industry.
• Solid knowledge of mill components liners bearings lubrication drive systems and control systems.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting alignment vibration analysis and wear diagnostics.
• Experience with OEM equipment especially FLSmidth products is a value.
• Availability to travel frequently to remote mines.
• Proficiency in the English language at an advanced level is required.
