Job Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham ( UAB ) is searching for a full-time temporary non-tenure track visiting Instructor of English beginning August 2026. This is a one-year temporary position with health benefits and renewable for a second year. The teaching load is 24 credit hours a year over two semesters.
Required Qualifications
The successful applicant must have a Masters degree in English Rhetoric/Composition or related field and at least two years of experience in teaching first-year composition. The new hire will be expected to mainly teach courses in First-Year Composition. Review of complete applications will begin April 13 2026.
