DESCRIPTION
Special Education Math Teacher
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide daily instruction for students in accordance with Board approved curriculum. In Class Resource Resource. Language & Learning Disabilities (LLD)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Appropriate New Jersey Certification required: Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH) Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSWD) AND Math Specialization (5-8) Teacher of Mathematics
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compliance with the NJ FIRST Act
- Successful Criminal History Clearance
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
10 - Month Contract. Salary and benefits as determined by the Board of Education and any
applicable and collective negotiations agreement.
COMPENSATION
In accordance with the provisions of the BOE/FTEA collective bargaining agreement the salary range for this position in the 26/27 SY is Step 1 BA/BS ($68023) - Step 18 PhD/EdD ($99380). Compensation will be commensurate with experience and education.

ANNUAL EVALUATION: Performance is reviewed annually in accordance with NJ State law
and the provisions of the Board of Education policy on evaluations for certificated staff.
TECHNOLOGY SKILLS: Ability to be proficient in computer applications pertinent to
support the position including but not limited Google Suite IEP software program and
Genesis Employee Portal and Student Information System.
