Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Radiology / Cardiology (CT Specialty)
Location: Syracuse NY
Shift: Day Shift 5x8 Hours (7:30 AM 4:00 PM)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs a variety of routine diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures under general supervision. This role may also include training and guiding other staff while ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and specialized nuclear medicine imaging procedures
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately
- Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images
- Ensure proper patient preparation positioning and care during procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical systems
- Follow all radiation safety protocols and regulatory guidelines
- Assist in equipment quality control calibration and maintenance
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff as needed
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams for accurate diagnostics
Equipment & Systems Used:
- Nuclear medicine imaging cameras (multi-head systems)
- Hot lab information management systems
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
- Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS)
Required Qualifications:
- Valid State License/Registration (as applicable)
- ARRT or CNMT Certification in Nuclear Medicine (or board eligible)
- Current CPR Certification
- Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and safety standards
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Experience working in hospital or clinical imaging environments
- Familiarity with advanced nuclear imaging equipment and workflows
