As a Lead Cell Engineer in the R&D DRAM Device and Cell Technology Group at Micron you will play a critical technical leadership role in advancing future DRAM scaling in an industry leading 300mm R&D facility. You will lead the cell development including but not limited to improving cell performance electrical characterization modeling and reliability at single cell and array level.
You will define and own key electrical specifications guide experimental strategy and influence process material and design decisions through deep device physics expertise. You are expected to act as a technical authority within the team mentoring engineers and collaborating extensively with material process integration design modeling characterization and product organizations to shape technology roadmaps and resolve complex cross disciplinary challenges.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and refinement of cell technology for DRAM memory cell and drive the definition of electrical specifications to meet performance and reliability of the memory cell.
- Own and guide electrical characterization strategies for memory arrays including modeling of cell and access device interaction to identify and prioritize opportunities for performance and reliability improvement.
- Provide technical leadership in the definition and optimization of cell materials and process flows partnering closely with process integration and process development teams.
- Develop and apply physical and electrical models to identify fundamental performance and yieldlimiting mechanisms in advanced DRAM technologies using rigorous statistical analysis of fab and experimental data.
- Lead analysis and correlation of inline probe parametric and backend data to drive actionable insights and technology decisions.
- Design execute and interpret experiments stress tests and reliability studies to evaluate memory cell and access device capabilities margins and longterm reliability.
- Influence memory management and ECC strategies in collaboration with design and product teams to improve product quality and reliability for current and future DRAM generations.
- Mentor and technically guide junior level engineers setting standards for data analysis modeling and experimental execution.
Minimum Qualifications
- In-depth expertise in mainstream memory technologies (DRAM NAND NOR SRAM) gained through significant industry experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cell development array characterization failure analysis and benchlevel debug to identify failure modes and guide cross-functional teams.
- Strong command of semiconductor device physics including CMOS BJTs diodes and advanced memory device concepts.
- Broad understanding of both Process development and Integration as they relate to memory technologies.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis DOE and statistical methods (e.g. JMP Python) with the ability to translate data into technical direction.
- Education: MS with 5 years of relevant industry experience or PhD with significant handson research experience or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering Physics or a related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Proven leadership in problem solving technical decisionmaking and crossfunctional collaboration.
- Experience providing regular technical and project status updates to team members and management.
- Track record of effectively collaborating with process modeling design and process integration teams to address cell deficiencies and drive technology improvement roadmaps.
