Job Summary
MalaceHR is seeking a skilled Operating Engineer to support the operation inspection and maintenance of mechanical HVAC electrical and plumbing systems within a commercial facility. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical ability attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent service to clients and tenants.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance tasks including painting pressure washing and minor repairs
- Maintain and replace lighting systems (bulbs/ballasts) in compliance with licensing requirements
- Support plumbing HVAC systems water treatment and basic locksmith work
- Manage and update work orders daily using CMMS; respond to tenant service requests
- Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections on building systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical electrical and control systems (DDC and pneumatic)
- Assist with emergency response and on-call situations as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Participate in ongoing technical and safety training programs
- Complete additional tasks and projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance HVAC plumbing electrical or related trades
- Trade school certification union training military experience or college education preferred
- EPA Universal (CFC) Certification preferred or willingness to obtain within the first year
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word Outlook Excel Teams)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working on ladders up to 30 feet
- Ability to frequently climb bend kneel lift and perform physical tasks
