Job Summary
Finance Controller – Head Office (HO)
Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA)
Experience: 15 Years
Budget: USD 2800 – 3000 per month
Role Overview
The Finance Controller in the agriculture sector is responsible for overseeing all group financial activities managing accounting functions and providing strategic financial guidance. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards optimizes financial processes and supports decision-making to drive the organization’s financial success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning & Analysis
- Develop and implement financial plans budgets and forecasts aligned with organizational goals.
- Perform financial analysis variance analysis and scenario modeling to support strategic decision-making.
2. Financial Reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheet income statement and cash flow statement) in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to management stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
3. Budget Management
- Lead the budgeting process including preparation review and performance tracking.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization revenue enhancement and operational efficiency.
4. Cash Flow Management
- Monitor cash flow liquidity and working capital to ensure operational and investment needs are met.
- Implement effective cash management strategies to minimize financial risk.
5. Financial Risk Management
- Identify assess and mitigate financial risks (credit market and liquidity risks).
- Establish and enforce risk management policies procedures and internal controls.
6. Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements including GST VAT and income tax.
- Coordinate with external tax consultants and regulatory bodies on tax matters.
7. Audit Coordination
- Manage internal and external audits liaising with auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.
- Address audit findings and strengthen internal control systems.
8. Financial Systems & Processes
- Review and improve financial systems processes and controls for efficiency and accuracy.
- Oversee implementation and maintenance of accounting software and tools.
9. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead mentor and develop the finance team.
- Promote a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 15 years of experience.
- Proven experience in finance and accounting preferably in the agriculture sector or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
- Expertise in financial planning budgeting and forecasting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
