HR & Recruitment Advisor
Job Summary
Location:CalgaryTerm:12-month contract
Key Responsibilities
HR Advisory and Partnership
Build strong trusted partnerships with leaders by developing a deep understanding of their business needs and workforce challenges
- Advise leaders on employment practices policy interpretation and employment legislation balancing business needs with a people focused approach
Provide daytoday HR guidance to managers and supervisors on performance management attendance discipline and employee relations matters
Support unionized environments where applicable including interpretation and application of collective agreements and labour relations matters including grievances and arbitration support
Lead and conduct workplace investigations
Collaborate with internal HR Centres of Excellence to ensure alignment on total rewards talent and HR programs
- Leverage HR data and insights to identify trends diagnose challenges and recommend proactive evidence-based solutions
- Provide guidance on complex employee matters including accommodation returntowork and disability management in partnership with Health & Safety and Disability teams
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
Lead fullcycle recruitment for a variety of roles including highvolume projectbased remote or hardtostaff positions.
Support rapid project mobilizations and rampups adjusting quickly to shifting timelines and operational priorities.
Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements assess candidates and support interview and selection processes.
Maintain strong candidate experience while operating in fastmoving realtime environments.
Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical and recurring roles.
Contribute to business development and workforce planning by providing labour market insights and staffing recommendations.
Support recruitment activities across Canadian and U.S. jurisdictions ensuring compliance with varying requirements.

Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources Business or a related field with 3 years of related HR experience including experience in unionized environments.
- Solid working knowledge of employment legislation HR policies and best practices
- Demonstrated experience across employee and labour relations performance management compensation and talent acquisition
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office and HR technology platforms (Oracle Cloud experience is an asset)
- Preference will be given to candidates with a CHRP designation (or in progress)
