We are looking for an experienced finance leader to step into the role of Manager Business Advisory for the Home Energy Saver Program at DCCEEW.
About the role
As the Manager Business Advisory Home Energy Saver Program (HESP) you will lead a small specialist team delivering high quality financial and business advisory services that support the delivery of the Home Energy Saver Loan and Discount programs.
You will be responsible for program accounting budgeting forecasting and performance reporting and for providing strategic financial advice to senior stakeholders. Working closely with internal divisions and the NSW Energy Security Corporation you will manage budget performance assess commercial impacts and strengthen financial governance. You will also contribute to business case development risk mitigation savings initiatives and the continuous improvement of financial management systems and controls.
About you
You are a strategic finance leader with strong people leadership capability who builds trust quickly and provides clear practical advice in complex environments. You have strong experience in budgeting forecasting and performance reporting and can translate financial data into concise actionable insights for senior decisionmakers.
You understand government financial frameworks including the Government Sector Finance Act 2018 Treasurers Directions and Australian Accounting Standards and are confident working within legislative policy and regulatory requirements.
You will also bring:
- experience working with suppliers including managing large contracts
- experience in the financial management of grant-style programs
- experience working collaboratively across different government agencies
Essential Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification and membership of a recognised professional accounting body such as CPA Australia or Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and demonstrated experience in a senior finance and business advisory role.
