Job Summary
Job Summary:
The AV Engineer is responsible for installing configuring operating and maintaining audio-visual (AV) systems and equipment. This includes video conferencing systems sound systems projectors digital signage control systems and related infrastructure to ensure seamless collaboration and presentation experiences across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install configure and maintain AV systems (displays microphones cameras speakers control panels etc.).
- Support and troubleshoot AV systems used for meetings webinars and live events.
- Manage video conferencing platforms (Zoom MS Teams Webex etc.) and room integration.
- Perform preventive maintenance and ensure AV equipment is in optimal working condition.
- Collaborate with IT and Facilities teams for network and infrastructure integration.
- Provide technical support for conferences town halls and corporate events.
- Maintain documentation for AV setups configurations and cabling diagrams.
- Evaluate and recommend upgrades or new AV technologies.
- Manage vendors and contractors for AV installation and maintenance services.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or diploma in Electronics Electrical Engineering IT or a related field.
- 37 years of experience in AV system design installation and support.
- Strong understanding of AV control systems (Crestron Extron AMX etc.).
- Hands-on experience with video conferencing systems (Cisco Poly Zoom Rooms Teams Rooms).
- Knowledge of audio DSPs microphones amplifiers and video distribution systems (HDBaseT HDMI SDI).
- Familiarity with IP-based AV systems and network fundamentals.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer service orientation.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional):
- Certifications such as CTS / CTS-I / CTS-D (AVIXA) Crestron/Extron programmer certification.
- Experience with digital signage systems and event production.
- Knowledge of automation and scheduling systems.
