Maintenance Assistant-Casual
Reportingto the Maintenance Supervisor The MaintenanceAssistant is responsible for assisting with general maintenance duties at AVENS A Community for Seniors. This is a casual/on-call position to cover for full-time replacement. Dutieswill include general labour and repairs painting general landscapingequipment checks and preventative maintenance for our Aven Manor AvenCottages as well as our independent housing.
Education and Experience Requirements
v Educationor training related to maintenance preference for plumbing mechanical andelectrical
v Abilityto lift up to 50 lbs
v Abilityto work outside for long periods of time and to work with limited supervision
v Mustbe able to obtain provide and maintain a satisfactory Vulnerable SectorCriminal Record Check

Pay and Benefits
SALARY: $26.70 per hour
PENSION PLAN: not eligible on a casual position
GROUP BENEFITS:not eligible on a casual position
VACATION: Collective Agreement governs how termvacation leave is allotted and administered
