This position is based in Amsterdam and you will be reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance EMEA.
This position is an integral member of the Commercial Finance team. Business partner to Sales and Marketing teams providing analysis and transparency to drive better commercial decisions and ensuring speed to market thereby driving efficiency of spend and optimizing profitability.
Commercial Business Partnering
- Business Partner to Regional Sales and Marketing teams to analyze performance and profitability. provide insights to support management decisions; challenge assumptions and provide insights that drive growth and margin improvement.
- Support Sales ahead of annual retail negotiations through analysis preparation and joint meetings with Key Account Managers
- Support marketing in the preparation of business cases for product launches investments and strategic initiatives; Support post launch evaluations
- Support other commercial business cases for CAPEX projects and monitor financial hygiene of project till completion
Financial Planning Forecasting & Analysis
- Manage timely input into S&OP
- Lead commercial performance reviews for relevant markets and brands highlighting risks and opportunities
- Periodic update of financial reports for management sales department and commercial finance team and support the financial processes (periodic results forecast and budget)
Digital Finance & Process Improvement
- Support automation of reporting and planning through BI tools and ERP integrations
Governance & Controls
- Contribute to yearly closing and reporting and preparation of statutory audits
- Monitor trade spend and financial control on rebate agreements; Manage trade accruals in close collaboration with Key Account Managers; Manage financial implications within ERP in collaboration with the Financial Accounting Team
Qualifications :
EU Citizenship and/or valid work permit is required. Please note that relocation assistance is not available for this position. All applications must be submitted in English as it is the companys corporate language.
- University Degree in Finance / Business Administration
- At least 5 to 8 years of experience in Finance or FP&A with an FMCG company
- Analytical thinking with pragmatic approach to problem solving
- Good understanding of P&L and Top Line / Bottom line impact of business decisions
- High level of data literacy; comfortable working with large data sets and transforming insights into actions financial modelling
- Proficiency in Excel SAP (or Oracle) and BI tools (Power BI or equivalent (Tableau))
- Experience with planning tools such as Pigment is a plus
- Comfortable in a hands-on fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated result oriented
- Fluent in English and Dutch will be an advatange
