Are you ready to lead the charge for one of the most iconic names in aerospace Airbus Australia Pacific is seeking a visionary high-impact leader to join our Executive Leadership Team (ELT) as the Head of Sales and Marketing.
Based in our Brisbane headquarters this VP-level role reports directly to the Managing Director of AAP with a functional line to the APAC Regional Head of Sales and Marketing. As the primary advocate for the Voice of the Customer you will be responsible for converting regional potential into sustainable revenue across Defence Security Civil and Parapublic segments throughout Australia New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
The Mission
This isnt just about hitting targets; its about defining the Airbus legacy in the Pacific. You will lead both the Front Office (proactive sales and prospect engagement) and the Back Office (commercial operations bids and marketing strategy) to ensure we remain the partner of choice in the region.
Your Core Objectives:
Drive Growth: Achieve annual Order Intake and Revenue targets across Helicopters Military Fixed Wing and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).
Market Expansion: Identify and penetrate new segments to diversify and strengthen our regional revenue base.
Strategic Branding: Develop the annual Marketing Roadmap and lead our presence at premier industry events including Avalon and Rotortech.
Operational Excellence: Oversee complex tenders and maintain rigorous CRM accuracy ensuring all activities align with global Airbus commercial policies.
Relationship Management: Build and sustain deep high-level partnerships with government agencies key accounts and industrial stakeholders.
Who We Are Looking For
We need a leader who embodies the Airbus valuessomeone who is as adept at negotiating high-value purchase agreements as they are at coaching a high-performance multi-disciplinary team.
Technical & Professional Expertise
10 years of proven success in Sales Business Development and complex project management within the Aviation/Aerospace industry.
A track record of leading multinational or geographically dispersed teams to achieve ambitious strategic goals.
Deep expertise in helicopter market dynamics ISR (Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance) technologies and the regional regulatory landscape (CASA/CAA).
Superior negotiation skills with the ability to translate complex bid requirements into tangible business wins.
Bachelors degree in Business Engineering or a related field; an MBA or relevant Masters degree is highly preferred.
