Job Summary
Understand financial reporting processes within a professional sports organization and events venue.
Assist in preparing monthly financial reports variance analyses and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
Support the development tracking and maintenance of department budgets and forecasts.
Learn how to interpret financial statements (primarily the P&L) and analyze revenue expense and CapEx trends.
Conduct ad hoc analysis to support business decisions such as evaluating event performance or cost-saving opportunities.
Gain exposure to cross-functional collaboration by supporting Finance in its work with departments such as Marketing Ticketing Partnerships and Operations.
Develop professional communication skills by presenting findings in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in written form.
Qualifications :
Currently pursuing a degree in accounting finance economics business or a related field of study.
Detail-oriented and a strong problem-solver with solid analytical abilities and intellectual curiosity.
Demonstrated positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills; able to effectively collaborate and interact with others at all levels of the organization.
Ability to manage multiple priorities stay organized and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel; experience with pivot tables lookups and other complex formulas is helpful but not mandatory.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to learn take feedback and ask questions to deepen your understanding of finance in the sports industry.
Additional Information :
Because of the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry your assigned hours may vary to reflect our needs (includes nights and weekends). You are expected to work all home games throughout the internship.
