Job Summary
JOB DETAILS
Salary expectation $60000 - $100000 per year
Shift: Full-Time Monday Through Friday weekends home
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to our customers distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service. The Ideal candidate will provide customer responsiveness and efficient material handling and delivery activities. This is a hands-on regional delivery driving position.
- Safely assist in the unloading of the product using a Moffett to customers location and/ or return products
- Deliver material in route truck/multi-drop fashion to destinations in accordance with Federal regulations
- Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speed in difficult situations such as heavy traffic inclement weather or in tight loading dock areas
- Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations including driver logs fuel purchases mileage records and other records required by law
- Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and comply with all Federal State and local regulations for safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle
- Able to answer questions regarding packing lists invoices packaging and material content. If unable to answer specific questions direct customer to appropriate contact
- Perform pre & post-trip inspections thoroughly
- Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment
- Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed
- Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines
- 2-3 overnight runs per week
- May perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License
- 2 years commercial truck driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
- 1 year of flatbed experience
- Clean driving record
- Willing to strap flatbed loads
- Operate trailer mounted forklift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
- Multi-drop delivery experience a plus
- Ability to work independently or with a team
- Ability to plan and manage time efficiently
- Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions
