Whats the role
As Head of Strategy you will be accountable for defining and driving BTs Platform and Product Strategy while contributing to broader corporate strategic priorities where platform capability advice ecosystems and technology differentiation are critical.
Reporting to the Chief Product Officer (or equivalent) you will own the 35 year competitive platform strategy translating customer adviser market and technology insights into a clear prioritised and executable roadmap. Operating as a senior playercoach the role combines strategic leadership with handson delivery crossfunctional orchestration and execution oversight.
A core requirement of the role is a strong understanding of platforms as technologyenabled businesses leveraging enterprise architecture and technology roadmaps to drive scalable differentiated outcomes. You will also bring deep knowledge of advice businesses and the endtoend advice value chain ensuring strategy is grounded in how advisers customers and technology interact to deliver advice at scale.
What will I be accountable for
Platform & Competitive Strategy
- Own the futurestate platform vision and differentiated competitive positioning
- Set clear strategic choices and priorities through a 35 year platform and product strategy that informs product technology and transformation roadmaps
- Translate market adviser and customer insights into sequenced executable roadmaps
Advice Ecosystem & Value Chain
- Apply deep understanding of the endtoend advice value chain to shape platform and product strategy
- Drive a connected wealth advice ecosystem aligning adviser workflows customer journeys and technology capabilities
Technology & Architecture Alignment
- Position platforms as technologyenabled businesses
- Partner closely with Architecture and Technology to ensure enterprise architecture and technology decisions align with strategic intent
Execution Focus
- Orchestrate alignment across Product Technology Architecture Transformation and Distribution
- Establish strategy governance KPIs and review rhythms to ensure strategy is executable and progressing as intended
What do I need
- Senior experience in strategy platform strategy product strategy or technologyenabled business strategy
- Strong understanding of platformbased businesses enterprise architecture and technology roadmapping
- Deep knowledge of wealth and advice ecosystems and adviserled business models
- Proven ability to translate strategy into feasible executable roadmaps
- Demonstrated capability to influence and align senior stakeholders across large matrixed and crossfunctional organisations
- Experience leading and developing small specialist strategy teams (desirable)
