Job Summary

- Required Bachelors Degree from an accredited university.
- Required 2 years of direct experience working with compensation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal regulations related to compensation programs.
- Demonstrated ability to use a consultative approach to resolving compensation-related issues.
- Demonstrated ability to determine best practices and recommend changes to improve programs.
- Demonstrated ability to discuss sensitive compensation issues with tact and diplomacy.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Professional (Word Excel Access PowerPoint).
- Plan implement communicate administer and monitor departmental programs and projects.
- Determine salaries and wages for new employees as well as adjustments for promotions demotions and transfers.
- Participate in strategic planning sessions by providing input and support to leadership in achieving district goals.
- Coordinate and conduct meetings sessions seminars orientations and departmental trainings.
- Investigate and respond to salary review requests from district personnel and process salary changes in accordance with Board of Trustee approved and prevailing compensation regulations.
- Provide consultation to executives and employee groups at all levels regarding compensation and human resources issues.
- Conduct routine salary surveys and market pricing as needed to monitor the competitiveness of positions within the district.
- Analyze surveyed data and recommend pay structure changes as necessary.
- Manage and participate in the evaluation/re-evaluation process to determine the relative worth of each position submitted for evaluation in coordination with the incumbent supervisor and department head.
