- This is a travel position. Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are not eligible.
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide high-quality care in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting. The ideal candidate will support patients with daily living activities while ensuring comfort safety and dignity.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent patient care and respond promptly to patient needs.
- Answer patient call lights and determine appropriate assistance.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing dressing grooming toileting mobility and exercise.
- Turn and reposition bedridden patients to prevent pressure injuries.
- Ensure patients receive appropriate nutrition by reviewing dietary restrictions allergies and preferences.
- Communicate with physicians nurses and caregivers regarding patient conditions and care plans.
- Measure and record food/fluid intake and output; report any changes.
- Record vital signs including blood pressure pulse temperature and respiration rate as directed.
Required Skills & Experience
- 12 years of experience in a long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation setting.
- Strong patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
Certifications & Licensure
- Active CNA License New York State
- BLS (AHA Basic Life Support) required
