Job Summary

Description
  • Keep record of quarterly asset count and recording of newly acquiredassets.
  • Continuous management ofassetverificationprocessandkeep register for the movement of assets and fully completed assets movementforms.
  • Managedepartmentalassetseffectivelyefficientlyeconomically.
  • Conducton-goingassetverificationidentificationofobsolete redundantanddamageditems ensureswriteoffand disposal.
  • Conductmonthlyassetspotchecksensurethatassetregisteris updatedandkeptaccurate.
  • Updatethefixedassetregisteronthesystemwithrelevant information.
  • Update and reconcile the inventory control sheet by agreeing to the fixed asset register.
  • Ensuredocumentsareproperlyfiledandstoredinasafeplace.
  • Assist in resolving audit queries on assets ensure completeness andaccuracy.
  • Assistinpreparationofquarterlyandyearlyassetdisclosurenote.
  • Compliance with relevant prescripts such as SCM policy and Asset Managementplan.
  • Determinesafetyofallassetsmonthly.
  • Regular inspections to check safety in buildings OccupationalHealth and Safety (OHS).
  • DofollowuponallOHSdecisions.
  • CompliancewithHealthandSafety Regulations.
Requirements

  • National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) with Accounting as a majorsubject.
  • One(1)yearrelevantjobexperience.
  • Knowledgeofadministrativeprocessesorassetmanagement.
  • ProficiencyinMSOfficesuite.
  • Goodcommunicationskills (writtenandverbal).
  • Driverslicense.
