The opportunity
We are seeking a Manager Billing and Claims to lead the end-to-end design governance and performance of billing and claims across our Energy & Utilities business.
Reporting to the Head of Support Services Hub this is a senior leadership role responsible for a national function supporting a complex portfolio exceeding $3 billion annually. You will lead a team of 46 direct reports (20 indirect) and partner closely with Finance Commercial Operations and Project teams across Australia.
This is a high-impact role where you will shape how billing and claims are delivered across the business ensuring accuracy compliance and strong commercial outcomes while designing scalable frameworks to support continued growth.
What youll do
- Lead billing and claims governance across a $3B portfolio ensuring accuracy compliance and strong financial control
- Design and implement national frameworks processes and standards to drive consistency and best practice
- Partner with senior stakeholders to optimise cash flow revenue assurance and claims outcomes
- Oversee complex claims disputes and risk mitigation in a commercially balanced manner
- Lead develop and uplift a high-performing team within a hub-based operating model

What we are looking for
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related discipline (required)
- Proven experience leading billing claims commercial or finance functions in a large complex organisation
- Strong understanding of contractual frameworks financial controls and governance
- Experience managing high-value high-volume portfolios and driving process standardisation
- Advanced stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at senior levels
- Commercially astute data-driven and confident operating in high-risk fast-paced environments
