Job Summary

Role: Automation Engineer AMR & Material Handling Systems
Location: Johns Creek GA (Onsite)
Duration: Full-Time (Permanent)

Job Description

Design and implement manufacturing automation systems
Work on AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robots) and warehouse automation
Develop pick-and-place systems and high-speed automation lines
Design conveyors and material handling systems
Use SolidWorks and AutoCAD for design and modeling

Key Responsibilities:

Select and implement AMR systems on shop floor
Conduct site assessments and operational surveys
Validate AMR operating zones paths and docking areas
Assess infrastructure (floor lighting obstacles Wi-Fi)
Coordinate integration with WMS/MES/ERP systems
Support AMR commissioning including firmware updates and validation
Configure workflows (pickup transport drop-off)
Establish connectivity between AMRs and network systems
Validate safety features like speed limits and emergency stops
Execute UAT test cases and validate workflows
Create and maintain documentation

Additional Responsibilities:

Coordinate with vendors for technical guidance and implementation
Prepare RFQs and proposals
Support equipment installation and deployment
Work with onsite/offshore teams
Manage automation projects end-to-end

Required Skills:

Strong experience in manufacturing automation (MedTech FMCG Industrial)
Expertise in AMR systems and warehouse automation
Proficiency in pick & place conveyor systems and material handling
Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks AutoCAD)
Experience with system integration and commissioning
Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Qualification:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Automation preferred)
