Job Summary

A multi-discipline engineering firm with over 50 years in business is looking for a Senior Transportation Manager for their Milwaukee office! This is a hybrid position that includes in office work three days a week and remote work two days per week.


Responsibilities:
  • Lead transportation infrastructure projects
  • Establish work plans/staffing for projects
  • Coordinate engineer technician and production staff activities
  • Prepare reports specifications and communications
  • Assist with business development
  • Conduct meetings with internal teams and clients
  • Supervise design/technical development
  • Ensure project goals are met within time/budget constraints
  • Ensure projects are delivered profitably
  • Prepare design calculations/plans for a variety of design projects
  • Collaborate with engineers designers and technicians
  • Mentor/train junior staff
  • Travel to client meetings as needed


Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in transportation or highway design
  • 8 years of highway design/plan development or related transportation experience
  • 5 years of experience managing multi-disciplined projects
  • PE License in the State of Wisconsin; registration in two or more states preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of the project development process
  • Previous business development experience
  • Ability to write descriptive/technically accurate proposals specifications and reports
  • Ability to participate in facilitate or lead project team meetings
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel Word and Outlook)
  • Experience working with MicroStation and/or OpenRoads
  • Experience collaborating with a multi-disciplined team of highway design traffic bridge (structural) and water resources engineering professionals preferred
  • Working knowledge of Wisconsin DOT design/plan standards preferred


Salary is commensurate with experience.
