Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Director of People & Culture to join the team at SLS Barcelona.
- Responsible for leading short- and long-term strategy planning and execution of the People & Culture function for the hotel.
- Major areas of responsibility include but are not limited to: recruitment hiring training benefits employee relations learning & development and payroll.
- Youll develop implement and manage the nuts and bolts of the department our policies processes and procedures.
- Youll get involved and lead projects. We want to hear your ideas and get your input.
- Recommend the departments budget and manage expenses within approved budget constraints.
- Work closely with General Manager in implementing achieving and maintaining the property goals and objectives.
- Ensure that the hotel operates within the employment law requirements in its locality.
- Act as an advisor to all managers on all aspects of employment and support team relations and performance management.
- Youll lead our efforts in embedding SLS values and culture as well as Ennismore values and culture into your team
Qualifications :
What we are looking for...
- At least four years experience as a director in a human resources capacity; hospitality is a plus and food & beverage experience is even better.
- Ability to take ownership of issues solve problems and make effective decisions.
- A quick learner with a growth mindset and are up for doing things differently and trying (almost) everything once.
- A great communicator both verbally and written and a great listener.
- You execute. You get things done. You are scarily organized.
- You know how to hold people accountable but make people feel good at the same time.
- You love people and want to scout hire and train the best team out there.
- You can keep a secret. You exercise discretion when handling team issues.
- You are humble & kind; you think big and encourage your team to believe.
