Job Description:

Fixed Asset Team Lead supervises the day-to-day operations of the department and manages the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed timely and accurately. This position addresses tight deadlines and various accounting activities in relation to fixed assets and workflow.

The ideal candidate must be detailed organized action orientated creative and possess the aptitude and appetite for problem solving.

Key Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS:

Performs supervisory duties such as performance evaluation talent development succession planning disciplinary actions etc.
Cultivate growth through the development of high potential employees.
Evaluate coach reward recognize employees and celebrate successes.
Handle conflict and counsel employees that require disciplinary actions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Ensure timely and accurate Fixed Assets processing accounting and reporting operating within the Companys guidelines.
Ensure the companys fixed assets are properly maintained for corporate and tax books. This includes capitalization disposals and transfers.
Monitors completion of period-end closings including FA to GL reconciliation and account analysis.
Identify and manage the implementation of process improvements and efficiencies while maintaining strong internal controls.

Experience/Knowledge Required:

Bachelors degree in accounting or finance and at least 5 years of relevant supervisory experience.
Must be a team player with drive ambition a positive attitude and businesslike conduct.
Ability to demonstrate leadership by example and remain calm under pressure.
Possess analytical / problem-solving skills and ability to demonstrate financial acumen.
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks without supervision.
Attention to detail accuracy ability to prioritize and follow-through.
Possess excellent organizational interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
Must project a clean and professional appearance.
Ability to maintain high degree of ethics integrity and confidentiality
Ability to operate within company policies procedures and standards.
Ability to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the department.
