About the role:

Were currently seeking a compassionate and highly motivated Clinical Nurse who will also be part Cancer Care Coordinator to join our new Oncology Service at St Vincents Private Hospital Toowoomba. This newly created position will be pivotal in shaping the way we deliver patient-centred cancer care to patients in around the Toowoomba region.

Working in this role and within Haematology you will be the central point of contact for patients and families to ensure seamless support during their diagnosis treatment and follow up. You will be responsible for the coordination of clinical care education and patient advocacy working closely with our Oncologists Surgeons and Allied health professionals to achieve excellence in cancer care.

Things that work for us:

  • Nursing Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency is essential

  • Demonstrated experience in an oncology haematology or cancer care setting with advanced knowledge and skills in hematology

  • A strong commitment to patient centred care with a compassionate and caring approach

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Commitment to teamwork adaptability and continuous professional growth within an Oncology setting

  • Ability to work on a permanent part time basis
