Position Description
Job Title: Classroom Teacher (Grades 5-6)
Position Status: Part-Time (Thursday & Friday) Grades: Combined 5th-6th Grade Classroom
Mother of Hope Hybrid Academy is seeking a passionate and faith-filled educator to teach a combined 5th and 6th grade classroom on Thursdays and Fridays. The ideal candidate will create an engaging structured and faith-centered learning environment while fostering academic growth and character development in students.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in alignment with MOHHAs curriculum.
- Provide instruction in core subjects including reading writing and math utilizing small groups with the support of a classroom aide.
- Teach additional subjects such as Nature Study Latin and Catechesis while incorporating outdoor recess in all weather conditions.
- Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment through effective classroom management.
- Supervise and engage students in both classroom and outdoor settings ensuring a safe and supportive learning experience.
- Communicate regularly with parents to support student development and engagement.
- Participate in professional development opportunities.
- Support students individual learning needs and provide guidance as needed.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director

Qualifications:
- Experience managing groups of children in an educational or structured setting.
- Commitment to being a joyful witness of the Catholic faith and contributing to the Catholic identity of the academy.
- Teaching certificate is not required but should have experience with elementary/middle education classical education faith based instruction or homeschool curriculum.
- Strong classroom management organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff students and parents.
