Currently involved in some of Canadas largest infrastructure projects ACCIONA delivers solutions that contribute to the economic and social progress of the communities in which it operates.

This 12-month paid internship is designed for a recent graduate seeking to build foundational IT experience within a dynamic fast-paced organization.

As an IT Co op your workday balances hands-on operational support with structured project involvement providing exposure to both day-to-day IT services and formal IT project delivery. Your time will be dedicated to IT operations along with project and continuous improvement initiatives and reports to ACCIONAs IT Manager for North America directly.

This is an opportunity to work with an international company that combines operational IT support with structured project management exposure allowing you to develop technical organizational and project delivery skills while contributing to both day-to-day IT services and longer-term strategic initiatives with increasing responsibility over time.

Job Description

Operations

  • Review and manage IT requests and incident tickets in ServiceNow.

  • Support end users by fulfilling service requests troubleshooting incidents documenting resolutions and ensuring tickets are prioritized and escalated appropriately.

  • Assist with IT procurement activities including coordinating the purchase of IT equipment and services tracking orders working with vendors and maintaining accurate IT asset and inventory records. This operational work builds a strong foundation in enterprise IT service management customer support and operational processes.

  • Act as a Project Administrator within Jira DevOps supporting IT project teams by maintaining project boards updating tasks and timelines tracking deliverables and preparing basic status updates.

  • Actively participate in IT project management activities and gain practical experience in end-to-end IT project delivery.

Project & Application Development

  • As part of the project work you will be exposed to core project management methodologies including both Agile and Waterfall approaches.

  • Support Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning backlog grooming and retrospectives while also assisting with documentation milestones and reporting in Waterfall-style projects. This hands-on involvement helps you understand how different project management methodologies are applied in real-world IT environments and how teams adapt their approach based on project needs.

  • Participate in office workflow automation initiatives collaborating with IT and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement.

  • Contribute to automation efforts using AI and emerging AGI-based tools by assisting with research testing documentation and implementation of automation solutions that improve efficiency and user experience.

Required Skills and Competencies

What Were Looking For

  • Recent graduate (Bachelors degree or diploma) in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Previous IT internship co-op or work experience is an asset.

  • Strong interest in IT support Project & Application Development and project management

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.

  • Eagerness to learn and grow into increasing levels of responsibility over the course of the internship.



This role offers an annual base salary of $55600 CAD with compensation determined based on experience qualifications and internal equity.
