Note:

We are looking for candidates with strong communication skills as this role involves direct interaction with senior leaders at the client site. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in SDET Java Automation with Selenium or Playwright along with hands-on experience in LoadRunner. Candidates with Playwright experience will be preferred.

Job Summary

We are looking for seasoned Test Lead providing hands-on technical leadership and ownership of quality assurance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in automation testing using Playwright with Java proven experience in leading QA teams and the ability to collaborate effectively with client stakeholders. Prior experience in LoadRunner scripting is an added advantage for supporting performance and scalability testing needs.

Key Responsibilities

Test Leadership & Client Engagement

• Act as the QA/Test point of contact at the client location
• Work closely with client stakeholders product owners and development teams to understand requirements and quality expectations
• Lead testing discussions provide status updates and manage escalations effectively
• Mentor and guide offshore QA team members
• Ensure alignment of testing activities with client delivery timelines and quality standards

Test Strategy & Planning

• Define and own Lead teams to execute against the overall test strategy test approach and automation roadmap
• Plan and manage test cycles including functional regression SIT
• Review requirements and design test scenarios ensuring complete coverage
• Identify testing risks and implement mitigation plans proactively

Automation & Technical Oversight

• Provide hands-on guidance and review of automation frameworks built using Playwright
• Ensure automation scripts are scalable reusable and maintainable
• Support UI and API automation testing
• Drive automation adoption and optimize test coverage across releases
• Troubleshoot complex automation issues and guide the team on best practices

CI/CD & Quality Enablement

• Ensure Assist with integrations of automation suites into CI/CD pipelines
• Monitor build health automation execution results and quality metrics
• Track QA KPIs defect metrics and automation effectiveness

Performance Testing (Value Add)

• Leverage prior LoadRunner scripting experience to support occasional performance testing initiatives as needed
• Review performance test scripts and results in collaboration with performance teams
• Provide inputs on non-functional requirements such as performance and scalability

Required Skills and Test Leadership

• Proven experience as a Test Lead / QA Lead preferably in client-facing onsite roles
• Strong understanding of QA processes test lifecycle management and release readiness
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Automation & Technology

• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright automation
• Knowledge of Java OOP concepts and automation design patterns
• Experience with API testing (RESTful services)
• Familiarity with test frameworks like TestNG / JUnit
• Experience with Git Maven/Gradle and test reporting tools

Performance Testing (Good to Have)

• Experience in LoadRunner scripting (VuGen) and test execution
• Understanding of performance testing concepts and metrics

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools (JIRA or equivalent)
