Local Education is proud to be working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Chelmsford Essex seeking to appoint a passionate and committed PSHE Teacher for a full-time permanent role starting in September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver a subject that truly impacts students lives. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Personal Social Health and Economic Education (PSHE) across Key Stages 3 and 4 equipping students with the knowledge skills and understanding they need to navigate modern life with confidence and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging age-appropriate PSHE lessons in line with statutory guidance
Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages open discussion
Address key topics such as relationships wellbeing digital safety mental health and financial literacy
Support the wider pastoral and wellbeing strategies of the school
Collaborate with staff and contribute to whole-school events projects and enrichment
Monitor and evaluate student progress and adjust teaching as necessary
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent ECTs welcome to apply
Experience teaching PSHE or a related subject (e.g. Citizenship Humanities RS)
A strong understanding of the PSHE curriculum and current educational issues
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A passion for personal development and safeguarding young people
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
