Location: Basildon Essex
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)
Local Education are working on behalf of a well-regarded secondary school in Wickford who are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis from September 2025.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English across KS3 and KS4 with the opportunity to contribute to a supportive and forward-thinking department. The school prides itself on fostering a respectful and inclusive learning environment with strong academic expectations.
The Role:
Deliver engaging and challenging English lessons to students in Key Stages 3 & 4
Contribute to curriculum planning assessment and departmental development
Inspire a love for literature and language helping students achieve their potential
Take part in whole school activities and pastoral support
The Ideal Candidate:
Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English education
Proven classroom management skills and ability to differentiate effectively
A team player who is committed to contributing to a positive school culture
