About the role
You will have the opportunity as a Scheme Support Officer to engage and interact with the people we support Deliver workshops relating to tenancy management and health & wellbeing. Arrange and carry out activities with the people we support to support them with their goals. Advising and supporting in a sensitive and practical manner and dealing with a crisis effectively and efficiently. Scheme Support Officers are a 24/7 role so will be filling gaps in rotas including nights weekends and bank holidays. Night shifts may be wakeful or sleep-in depending on the service needs.
We are also recruiting Floating Support workers role based in Newport. You will provide housing-related support to people who are struggling to maintain their tenancy are at risk of homelessness or are currently experiencing homelessness. You will work with individuals from a variety of backgrounds providing tailored support to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals. The aim is to prevent homelessness and empower people to manage their homes independently. The Floating Support team predominantly works office hours however this is subject to the needs of the clients.
Managers will offer shifts with as much notice as possible but you might be contacted on an ad-hoc basis when shift cover is needed. As such the hours may not be guaranteed.
Skills and Experience Needed
Relevant work experience and knowledge of issues relating to vulnerable people is essential.

Pay and Pensions
- 25877.80 FTE (13.45 per hour) for both roles
