Special Education Extended School Year Program Coordinator

Dates of Program: July 6 2026 - August 6 2026
TheExtended School Year (ESY) Program Coordinatoris responsible for the leadership planning and daily oversight of the districts summer special education services. This role ensures that students with disabilities receive the specialized instruction and related services necessary to prevent significant regression as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
The Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for staff families and transportation providers ensuring a safe compliant and enriching environment for all participants.
Qualifications:
Special Education licensure with 5 years experience preferred
Supervisory experience preferred
Clear communication skills and strong organization
Responsibilities Include:
Program development during months of March-June (up to 40 hours) including interviewing and recommending staff
Schedule student services with the support of special education coordinators and related service providers
Identify materials and transportation needs with the support of special education coordinators and transportation secretary
On-site supervision and management of programming including supervision of staff andstudents
Actively support the implementation of all summer services
Problem solve any areas of concern during programming
Maintaining building safety
Submitting staff timesheets to payroll department
