Key Responsibilities
As the Business Development Manager you will drive revenue growth and expand market presence by building relationships and delivering tailored security solutions.
Lead Generation and Sales Development
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through daily cold calling outreach efforts and client engagement strategies.
Deliver compelling sales presentations coordinate client meetings and host Lunch & Learn sessions to educate and engage prospective customers.
Client Needs Assessment and Solution Design
Conduct site visits and collaborate with internal teams to understand client requirements and develop customized security solutions.
Prepare detailed proposals quotes and cost estimates aligned with client needs and organizational capabilities.
Sales Pipeline and Performance Management
Manage and maintain an accurate sales pipeline using CRM tools ensuring real-time updates and effective deal tracking.
Participate in regular performance reviews and strategy meetings to align with company goals and drive continuous improvement.
Relationship Management and Client Retention
Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with clients through proactive communication and a solutions-focused approach.
Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and drive repeat business through exceptional service and trust.
Networking and Brand Representation
Represent the organization at industry events trade shows and networking functions to build brand awareness and generate leads.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across target industries and communities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Project Managers Technicians and Operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of solutions.
Foster a collaborative environment by sharing feedback supporting team initiatives and recognizing contributions.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role candidates should demonstrate:
Education & Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of proven success in a sales or business development role.
Experience in industries such as construction energy municipalities or security solutions is considered an asset.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g. HubSpot) and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to quickly learn and understand technical products and services within the security industry.
Key Competencies:
Strong relationship-building skills with a track record of developing long-term client partnerships.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities with confidence in both one-on-one and group settings.
Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
Competitive mindset with a strong drive to meet and exceed sales targets.
Flexibility and willingness to travel throughout Northern Alberta as required.
